Victorian Silver Locket Bangle, 1880’s, rare

This is a rare and unusual Antique silver bangle. It features a hidden photo locket behind a hinged, engraved silver door decorated with a flower with gold overlay. The body of the bangle is engraved with a foliage pattern which overlaps the hinge and clasp, a sign of top quality workmanship. Internally, the catch plates are shaped and stamped ‘Sterlg silver’ and’ E.Atkins Patent’. The patent is perhaps in relation to the unusual opening mechanism, which is secure and works well. The locket window is glass.
This is such a treasure and would make the most wonderful gift for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines etc. It will also be a valuable addition to your own jewellery collection.
NB. This item comes with a satin pouch.

APPROX. MEASUREMENTS: width 1inch/2.5cm. Internal circumference 7 inches/ 18cm. NB. Bangles are designed to sit closer to the wrist than bracelets so they don’t twist around.

MATERIALS: Silver, glass, metal ( locket rim)

CONDITION: excellent, a few surface marks as is expected for an item of this age and use.

NB: antique items are cleaned as much as possible but we do not give a high polish as we do not wish to affect the items patina.

If your item arrives damaged you must inform us within 24 hours of receipt. Please photograph and keep the damaged packaging as this will assist us in claiming from the carrier.

Sales to Europe: items with a value below €150 are sold including your country’s VAT. Import duty may still be payable. Items over €150 are sold excluding your country’s VAT and import duties. You are responsible for settling these taxes/duties.

RETURNS: You can return your UNWORN/UNUSED item for a full refund for any reason by firstly getting in touch to let us know you wish to return the item. This must be within 14 days of RECEIVING it and then you must return it within 28 days of RECEIVING it. This excludes Bespoke or Personal Items. Your Statutory Rights are not affected.
