Antique Victorian Silver Flower Brooch with Gold Overlay

A Victorian silver and three colour gold overlay brooch circa 1880. Towards the end of the 1800’s silver jewellery became popular due to manufacturing processes that meant it could be made in quantity, with great quality and affordable prices. The Victorian designers put as much energy and thought into their silver Creations as they did the gold. This piece is particularly pretty featuring a Rose in bloom and a bud.
