Vintage Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring, 1960’s, 18ct and Platinum.

This brilliant cut diamond engagement ring is full of sparkle and fire! Its estimated weight is 0.62ct. The platinum collet has small hearts around its edge and the shank is 18ct yellow gold. These bicolour rings are great to mix and match with other pieces of jewellery and could be worn with a platinum or yellow gold eternity or wedding ring. The diamond is a good colour and a very pretty brilliant cut. I have noticed an inclusion which is only visible with the loupe, and which is colourless. It does not interfere with the overall look of the stone. There may be other inclusions but they are not readily visible to me.
The collet has a very small amount of wear but nothing to be concerned about and is to be expected.
There was no hallmark for platinum in the UK prior to 1973. Items made of dual metals could not be hallmarked until recently.

This lovely Diamond solitaire ring would make a fantastic Engagement ring (a wedding ring will sit easily against it), birthday gift or special celebration ring.
