Antique Citrine Bracelet, Silver Bangle, circa 1880

This is a most stunning Victorian silver bangle set with 5 graduated yellow citrine stones. Each stone is securely set in an elaborate claw setting. There a leaf design top and bottom between the citrines and a twisted rope design along the edges.
This type of jewellery was popularly made alongside the trend of Scottish Agate Jewellery.
The bangle is marked STANDARD SILVER and acid tests as sterling silver (925). It is solidly made and apart from light surface marks and a couple of missing claws, is in excellent condition. The citrines display natural inclusions and the silver has natural patina and some tarnished areas on the inside. Citrine is the birthstone for November and this antique bangle will make a lively gift fir birthdays, Christmas, anniversaries, etc.
NB: this bangle will be presented with a satin pouch.

ERA: Victorian circa 1880

APPROX. MEASUREMENTS: width of bangle 1 inch/2.5cm.Internal circumference 6.5 inches / 16.5cm. Please remember that bangles are intended to fit more snuggly on the wrist than bracelets and so this bangle is a standard size.
